Biography
From a young age, Austin has been striving to create iconic images that reintroduce familiar faces to the world through elegant, yet moody visual storytelling.
While studying photojournalism during his undergraduate years in Southern California, Austin toured the United States photographing for MagCon (Meet and Greet Convention) as a personal photographer for social media stars such as Cameron Dallas, Lele Pons, and Jacob Sartorius.
Throughout his senior year of undergrad, Austin studied abroad, working as a photographer in Costa Rica in order to raise awareness of the country’s most underdeveloped and impoverished communities. It was there where he really became mesmerized by the power of imagery and essentially decided to pursue a master’s degree.
Austin’s experiences up to this point led him to the master’s program at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he studied multimedia, photography & design under legends such as celebrity portrait photographer, Gregory Heisler and National Geography & White House Editor, Michael D. Davis. Austin defended his thesis and received his Master of Science degree in December of 2017.
During his years as a graduate student, Austin toured the United States, the United Kingdom and most of Europe with Grammy award-winning band, Blink-182 as their tour photographer and videographer.
Austin is currently living and creating in New York and Los Angeles.
